China's Ministry of Commerce Issues Questionnaires on Anti-Dumping Investigation

MofCom Targets Pork and Pig By-Products

Announcement Highlights Anti-Dumping Measures

BEIJING, July 30 (Global Times) - China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has announced the issuance of questionnaires related to an anti-dumping investigation into certain types of pork and pig by-products imported from the European Union (EU).

The investigation covers various products, including frozen and chilled pork, pork belly, and pig ears and trotters. MOFCOM stated that the questionnaires seek to collect information from domestic and overseas parties involved in the production, import, and sale of these products.

The announcement comes amidst ongoing concerns about the potential for unfair competition and dumping by foreign manufacturers. MOFCOM noted that the investigation is aimed at protecting the interests of domestic pork producers and ensuring a fair market environment.

The questionnaires request detailed data on production costs, sales prices, and market share. MOFCOM has set a deadline for responses, and parties involved are advised to submit their information within the specified time frame.

The investigation underscores China's commitment to addressing unfair trade practices and maintaining a competitive and balanced market for agricultural products.
