## 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk for a Cause On September 11, 2001, the world changed forever. The terrorist attacks on that day took the lives of nearly 3,000 people and left a lasting scar on the hearts of Americans. In the years since, countless 9/11 memorials have been built to honor the victims and their families. One such memorial is the 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk. This annual event is held in New York City and brings together runners and walkers from all over the country. All proceeds from the race go to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. The 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk has always been a respectful and solemn event, honoring the memory of those who were lost and the strength of those who survived. This year, the event is taking on a special significance as the nation marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. This year's 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The race will begin at 8:46 a.m., the same time that the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The course will take runners and walkers through the streets of Lower Manhattan, past the 9/11 Memorial and other landmarks. Registration for the 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk is now open. The cost to register is $40. All proceeds from the race will go to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. The 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk to honor victims is a meaningful way to remember the victims of the 9/11 attacks and support the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Registration is now open.
