Huawei P Series to Be Renamed as Pura

Huawei Introduces Pura Lineup in 2024

P70 Series Expected to Drive Growth with Advanced Cameras and New Kirin Chip

After much anticipation, Huawei has announced a significant change to its smartphone lineup. The renowned P series, known for its exceptional photography capabilities, will be renamed Pura, marking a new era for the company's flagship devices.

The first model in the new Pura lineup is expected to be the Pura 70, which is rumored to feature a triple-lens rear camera system. The main camera is said to have a resolution of 50MP, while the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses will offer 64MP and 13MP sensors, respectively. On the front, the Pura 70 is expected to boast a 40MP selfie camera.

In terms of performance, the Pura 70 is rumored to be powered by Huawei's new Kirin 9000S chipset. This is said to be a 7nm octa-core processor that offers significant improvements in performance and efficiency over its predecessor, the Kirin 9000. The Pura 70 is also expected to feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Pura 70 is expected to launch in the first half of 2024, alongside two additional models: the Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Art Variant. These devices are expected to offer even more advanced camera systems and performance enhancements.

The rebranding of the P series to Pura is seen as a strategic move by Huawei to differentiate its flagship devices from the competition. The company is hoping to appeal to a wider range of consumers with its new lineup, which will offer a combination of cutting-edge technology and innovative camera capabilities.
